Red Ribbon Week

Fairfield is excited to participate in Red Ribbon Week as part of it's Centennial Year activities.  "Helping students understand the importance of saying no to drugs is critical to school safety and shaping our students to become healthy adults," said Counselor John Ferguson.

Red Ribbon Week is coordinated annually by the National Family Partnership. The organization was established as a grassroots, nonprofit organization in 1980 by a handful of concerned and determined parents who were convinced they should begin to play a leadership role in drug prevention.  Since its founding over 40 years ago, the National Family Partnership has devoted its efforts to the well-being of youth and students. Their mission is to lead and support our nation’s families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth which includes coordinating the national Red Ribbon Week movement.
